I’m Catherine. But sometimes I’m called Cakey.
I’m a college kid who can’t wait to get her own apartment so I don’t have to use the dorm kitchen any more because I love to bake. No, really, I love to bake. And I love food. A lot. Once upon a time, I started a “summer baking experiments” blog which failed miserably, but I’m back, and I’m committed. Where does this inspiration and sheer willpower come from? Joy the Baker is my main inspiration, but every food blog I’ve ever run across in the wide-world of the interwebs has contributed to my motivation. There is something about food that brings us together – no matter where you’re from, what you do, who you are, food is almost always common ground. Being able to share tastes and recipes and new ideas is a unique opportunity…and I want to be part of it.
Here’s a little bit about me. Mostly about the things I love.
Paul, George, John, & Ringo were my first loves. They still are.
I speak (a bit) of French. I’m also in love with Paris, the only big city in the world I could handle living in.
But I love Italy more than Paris.
I love summer (& my best friends).
I love food.
